>What a horrible way to end the month of July. Dodgers went 11-15 in the month and 5-11 after the all-star break. They began the 2nd half losing 6 in a row. The bullpen has been shaky since the 2nd half and the offense just isn’t scoring any runs for their pitchers.
>Good Bye July, Hello August
Thankfully it’s finally August.
This is when the Dodgers have turned it up the past 2 seasons. The trade deadlines were huge successes when they acquired Manny Ramirez two years ago and George Sherrill last season.
Will 2010 follow suit? Can they catch the Padres and Giants, while holding off the Rockies in the last 2 months of the season?
It should be a great start to the month. Dodgers are facing Matt Cain, who is 0-8 with an ERA of 4.28 in his 14 career starts against the Dodgers. Clayton Kershaw returns from his 5-game suspension and looks to put the past behind him. (Catch the game on ESPN 8 p.m. EST)
Keep the faith and enjoy these last 2 months. Anything can happen!
