>Dodgers Trade Ryan Theriot to Cardinals for Blake Hawksworth

Just months after acquiring second baseman Ryan Theriot, the Los Angeles Dodgers trade him to the St. Louis Cardinals for relief pitcher Blake Hawksworth.

That means Juan Uribe will be a starting second baseman for the 2011 season. I still don’t understand why Ned Colletti traded for Theriot. He could have traded for Lilly without including the two second baseman.

Hawksworth will be 28 at the start of next season. He spent two seasons with the Cardinals. Making 67 relief appearances and eight starts, with a 4.07 ERA over 130 1/3 innings. Dodgers bullpen struggled last season, and this is the first step to try to improve it.

>Michael Jordan Responds To Lebron "Maybe You Should Rise"

>Brand New Mash-Up Video including Michael Jordan & Lebron:

Michael Jordan has a few words of wisdom for Lebron, in this mash up of Nike’s wonderful ad’s “Maybe” and “Rise”.

Created by: Tom Hinueber

 If you read the original description, this is in fact a mash-up and I never represented it as anything but. Counting all the views on stolen videos we are well over 2 million in just 6 days, a lot of the titles on the stolen videos are things like “Michael Disses Lebron” Which tells me people might get the wrong impression. So I’m setting the record straight, this is not affiliated with Nike, Lebron, Michael Jordan or any of their brands. This was created by myself, Tom Hinueber as an artistic expression. That being said I appreciate everything you’ve been saying in the comments section and will be making more videos shortly when I’m not swamped with work and school.

Thank you all, as a film student working hard at his craft, I cannot tell you how inspiring some of your comments have been to me.

 Great video by Tom.

>Derek Anderson’s Post Game Interview… Better than his MNF Performance?

>If you didn’t watch the 27-6 San Francisco 49ers victory over the Arizona Cardinals tonight, it’s okay because you didn’t miss much.

The exciting part of the night was Arizona Cardinals quarterback Derek Anderson’s press conference. He was talking to one of his lineman during the 4th quarter of the blowout and the camera’s caught him smiling. One reporter had the nerve to call him out on it.

>Dodgers Off-Season Signings – Newest Addition (Juan Uribe)

Dodgers have been a little busy this off-season trying to find a power bat and pitching, both in the bullpen and rotation.

Dodgers sign Ted Lilly to a three-year deal. This rotation could be great along with Kershaw, Billingsley, Kuroda, and Garland. {Link} {My Link}

Dodgers sign Jay Gibbons to a one-year deal. Gibbons was a great late season call-up last season, hopefully he can fill in when one of our OF need a rest. {Link}

Dodgers sign Hiroki Kuroda to a one-year deal. This will most likely be his final season in the states. {Link}

Dodgers sign Nishijima and Takano to Minor League contracts. Both very young pitchers from Japan and hopefully they can work their up into the rotation in a few years. {Link}

Dodgers sign Dana Eveland to a Minor League contract. Didn’t have much success with the Athletics and i don’t expect anything from him. {Link}

Dodgers sign Jon Garland as their Fifth Starter. It’s a one-year deal with a club option for 2012. {Link}

The newest Dodger addition is Juan Uribe. He’s a utility player who just came off a World Series win with the San Francisco Giants. With Casey Blake getting up there in age and Theriot not a power hitting 2B, this gives the Dodgers some more power. {Link}

Just waiting to see who the Dodgers bring in to help out our biggest problem, the bullpen. I like the Uribe and Garland signings so far. I just hate how much they gave to Uribe, 3 years / $21 million.

>Happy 83rd Birthday Vin Scully

Today is Vince Scully’s 83rd Birthday.

He started broadcasting for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1950 and later moved to Los Angeles with them team in 1958. He announced earlier this year that he will return for the 2011 season, his 62nd year with the Dodgers.

He’s one of the best broadcasters of all time.

>Kobe Takes Role As Grinch This Christmas

>Wade, Lebron, Bosh and the rest of the “great” Heat team are coming to Staples Center this Christmas to play against the Los Angeles Lakers. At the beginning of the season, this match-up was one you wouldn’t want to miss. But now that we’re a month into the season, the Heat aren’t who we thought they were. They are struggling against mediocre teams and have a record of (8-6).

It’s a new role for Kobe and the Lakers as they will most likely be the fan favorites to win this game across the world. No matter what record the Heat have when Christmas comes around, everyone will still be tuning in to this game to watch Kobe, Gasol, Wade and Lebron.
The Los Angeles Lakers will appear in their 12th straight Christmas Day appearance.

There will be one difference with Kobe on this special day. He’ll be wearing these “Grinch” shoes when he steps on the court.

>World Of Jenks: Season 1

World of Jenks was one of the best shows on television. If you didn’t watch the first season, you missed out. It premiered on Sept. 13, 2010 and ended on November 22, 2010 with an hour long episode.

It’s not the average MTV show, like Jersey Shore or Jackass. It’s documentary television.

“Every young person I meet has a unique way of speaking to our generation. Their story is personal but their message is universal: to make a difference and leave their own unique stamp on society. World of Jenks represents the voice of a generation…”

MTV’s biography of Andrew Jenks:

I am a 24-year-old filmmaker.

When I was nineteen years old I moved into a nursing home for over a month and documented what life was like when you are near the end. What began as a low-budget summer project turned into a feature documentary that went on to premiere on HBO and play in theaters around the world. As I received emails and letters from viewers who profoundly related to the senior citizens in the film, I couldn’t help but think, “I also want to tell the stories of my generation. I want to be a filmmaker that is able to capture what my generation thinks, how they act and what they ultimately stand for.” This became the inspiration behind my new MTV show, World Of Jenks.

Every single episode gives the viewers an insight look at the lives of a specific character. After watching each episode, i have a new look on the life of these people. It’s totally different from what we just view them as on TV. They go through struggles that none of us would ever imagine.

This show has been an inspiration and is an outstanding series.

No word yet if another season has been picked up.
