>2011 Super Bowl Prop Bets

Super Bowl XLV Prop Bets

I was looking through all of the prop bets that gambling sites were allowing bets on. There are some weird bets that are only used for Super Bowl since it’s the biggest game of the year.

I picked out some bets that were unusual.

1. Who will the winning coach of the game thank 1st?  They also had this same bet for the MVP of the game.

2. First punt of the game.

3. Cross-Sports. You can bet on the Super Bowl and other sports happening on the same day. (NBA, Golf)

4. What will Fergie be wearing 1st appearance?

5. Which way will the first missed field goal travel?

6. Color of the Gatorade that’s used on the Winning Head Coach. You can also bet who performs the dumping.

7. President Obama’s pick to win the game.
8. Do you believe any NFL players will be arrested during Super Bowl weekend? You can bet on that.

9. For those commercial lovers, you can bet on which commercial has the Highest Rating on USA Today’s annual Ad Meter. (More choices available than pictured)

10. National Anthem. Will Christina Aguilera sing Over/Under 1:56? Also if you believe she’ll be wearing a Cowboys hat, there’s a bet for that.

If you are going to make any of these bets, let me know. I’m curious to see if anyone place these bets. Also if there are other unusual bets, let me know and i’ll add them.

Good Luck and win some money!

>Lakers Fall Short As Kobe Reaches Another Milestone

Lakers (33-14) vs. Kings (11-33)

The game started off with a scary moment. Kobe tried to draw a blocking foul on Tyreke Evans, but got there late and hit the ground. He favored his shoulder right when he hit the floor and just laid there for another 10 seconds.

Kobe just needed extra time to let the shoulder heal. He came out ready to pass up Hakeem for 8th all-time on the scoring list. He scored 9 of the first 13 points for the Lakers. With 3:30 left in the first quarter, Kobe created a turnover which lead to a fast break dunk. That dunk helped Kobe pass Hakeem Olajuwon for 8th all-time. {Link}

Kobe ended the quarter with 21 points and Kings rookie, Demarcus Cousins had 12 points of his own.

Lakers led 33-30 after the first quarter.

Sloppy second quarter for the Lakers. The bench did their best of keeping it a close game but had no luck scoring much. Cousins went on a tear and finished the quarter with 22 points. Shannon Brown had eight points and Kobe finished with 26 at the half.

No defense played by either team and the Lakers didn’t come out with the same energy they had against Utah earlier this week. Lakers trailed 59-55 at half.

No defense in the third quarter. Lakers came out flat and allowed the Kings to extend their 4-point lead to 20 with 4 minutes left in the third. Lakers cut into the huge deficit before the quarter ended. Kings led 85-71 after three.

The Lakers couldn’t catch a break early in the fourth. Every time they got within single digits, the Kings would respond with a basket.

With less than 5 minutes left in the game, the Lakers finally showed up. They were playing with so much energy and passing the ball around to get easy buckets in the paint. Lakers cut the lead down to 4 points, but couldn’t stop the Kings at the other end.

Kings hit most of their free throws down the stretch and never let the Lakers get within one possession

Ugly loss against a young Sacramento Kings team. This snapped an 8-game winning streak for the Lakers against the Kings.

>Kobe Moves Into Eighth On All-Time Scoring List

Kobe (26,934) came into tonight’s game against the Sacramento Kings only 12 points behind Hakeem Olajuwon (26,946) for 8th overall on the all-time scoring list.

Earlier this month, Kobe passed Oscar Robertson for Ninth {Link}

Kobe passed ‘The Dream’ for sole possession of eighth all-time, just a day after being named starter of the NBA All Star Game for the 13th straight season.

Scary moment early in the first quarter, Kobe went down favoring his shoulder after trying to draw a charge against Tyreke Evans. Kobe took a couple extra seconds to recover and went on like nothing happened.

Kobe quickly scored 13 points in the first quarter to pass Hakeem for 8th. He did it on after a steal that lead to a wide-open dunk.
