>

Dwight had his way with the Lakers big men in the 2nd half. Lakers lost their first game of the 7 game road trip. They are now 4-1 on the trip with 2 more games left before the all-star break.

Andrew Bynum was very active in the first quarter. Bynum had 9 points and 6 rebounds. Gasol and Bynum took 12 of the Lakers first 17 shots.

The Magic responded with a 13-0 run to take a 9 point lead. But the Lakers closed out the quarter with a 6-0 run.

Magic led 24-21 after the first quarter.

Lamar Odom sparked the bench and took over in the second quarter. Lakers went on an 8-0 run to take a 31-30 lead early in the quarter.

Brandon Bass and Ryan Anderson outplayed the Lakers big men. Even though the Lakers put Dwight Howard into foul trouble, the Magic led 45-41 at the half.

Magic extended their lead to 9 points. Fisher and Artest were 1-for-8 from the field before they hit 3 shots to cut the lead to only 2 points.

Magic finished the the quarter on a bizarre play, Arenas was out of bounds on his shot but Howard bailed him out with slamming it in. Magic led 67-60 after the third quarter.

Scary moment in the fourth quarter, when Bynum came down the court holding his knee. But he stayed in the game after getting it checked out.

Fourth quarter was all Magics, they were hitting their shots while the Lakers went ice cold. They couldn’t do anything against the Magic.

Dwight Howard was a perfect 9-for-9 from the field in the second half. He went out with a little less than 2 minutes with a cut under his eye. Lamar Odom accidentally hit Howard in the face going for a loose ball.

Hard to win games when no one hit their perimeter shots.

Box Score: Lakers 73 Magic 89
