>Cavaliers Get The Last Laugh

17 Feb

Do you remember the last time Lakers/Cavs played?

Well it was no where near the same outcome. The Lakers continued to struggle throughout the game, and the 9-win Cavaliers defeated the Lakers.

Kobe picked up 2 fouls early in the first quarter and received a technical on his way back to the bench.

Lakers shot 25% as a team in the quarter and trailed 29-21 after the first.

Pau Gasol was the only bright spot for the Lakers in the first half. He had 20 points and 12 rebounds.

Cavaliers took a 51-46 lead into the half.

The Cavs took control early in the third quarter and had a double digit lead at one point. But towards the end of the quarter the Lakers went on an 8-0 run to cut the lead to 1 before Enyga went baseline and slammed it in.

Cavaliers lead 74-71 after the third quarter.

Andrew Bynum became frustrated after going 1-for-11. On the next play he pulled Ryan Hollins to the ground and picked up a technical foul.

The Lakers tied up the game halfway through the fourth quarter when Derek Fisher hit a 3-pointer. Then the Cavs went on a 9-0 run to pretty much seal the game.

The only bright spot for the Lakers was Pau Gasol who had 30 points and 20 rebounds.

Well that is no 3 straight losses for the Lakers heading into the All-Star break. Time to rest up and get ready for the playoffs.

Box Score: Lakers 99 Cavs 104
