UCLA forward Tyler Honeycutt is leaving school and will enter the NBA draft, he said Monday in a conference call with reporters.

Honeycutt, a 6-foot-8 sophomore, averaged 12.8 points and 7.2 rebounds for the Bruins last season and is projected to be drafted late in the first round or early in the second round of the June 23 NBA draft, according to’s Chad Ford.

He should have a decent NBA career. It’s worked out for almost all UCLA players that have been drafted. Only thing that concerns me is if there is an NBA lockout. I’ve heard that they are farther apart than the NFL, which means it’s likely that the NBA will not have a season.
