I haven’t added anything to my Joe Johnson collection in a while. Within the last week, there were 4 new cards on ebay that I needed.

The first card is from 2009-10 Absolute Memorabilia. Only 10 of these were produced and I won the auction at the last minute. I have two other versions of this card that are both numbered to 25. {Image 1} {Image 2}

#/10

The next patch is a 3-color patch. It’s also my third patch from the same product. All of these are numbered to 49. You can view the other two relics {Image 1} {Image 2}

#/49

Upper Deck basketball are harder to find since Upper Deck lost their license and Panini are coming out with so many products. One seller had two cards that contained Joe Johnson on it and I was able to combine shipping for both cards. The first one is numbered to 25 and the second one is numbered to 99. Both cards consist of Josh Smith, Joe Johnson and Josh Childress. Childress is the only one that is no longer on the Atlanta Hawks.

I bought this card for only $6.50 last week. I’ve seen another one on ebay sell for around $10 so I had to buy this for my collection with a low price tag.

2009 Donruss Elite Kobe Bryant “Elite” Relic #/99

It’s my 14th Kobe Bryant jersey card. {View Collection}

Received 2 packages today with a couple cards for my collection and trade bait.

The first package was a trade on SCF. The book values were close in value, I might of got the better end of the deal.

2011 Prestige Preferred Matt Ryan Jersey
/250
2008 Razor Ethan Martin Letterman “A” Letter
This is my second Ethan Martin autograph. He was the Dodgers first round pick (15th overall) in 2008 amateur draft. He currently plays for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.

I had to give up these relics:

2010-11 Playoff National Treasures Colossal Danny Granger #/99

2010-11 Prestige Hardcourt Heroes Materials Chris Paul #/249

My second package was from a NBA playoffs contest on CCW. I placed in 3rd place because of the Heat.

Here are my prizes which are available for trade:

2009 Panini Threads Elton Brand #/250
2009 Topps Signature Speedy Claxton #/599

A couple weeks ago, I entered a Survivor contest on Card Collector’s World. The goal of the contest is just pick any MLB team that you thought would win on that day. Here were my picks from the contest and I also got a 2nd chance:

5/26 Red Sox
5/27 Diamondbacks
5/28 Rays
5/29 Blue Jays
5/30 Cardinals Lost (But since there was only 2 contestants left, his pick also lost)
5/31 Tigers

The prizes from the contest were these autograph cards from 2010 Topps USA Baseball.

2010 Topps USA Peter O’Brien Autograph

Bethune-Cookman catcher Peter O’Brien joined the ranks of the drafted as the Colorado Rockies picked him with the 17th pick in the third round (107th overall) of the 2011 MLB Draft. The Wildcat junior from Miami Gardens, Fla. has more than earned the honor, leading the team and among the MEAC’s leaders in home runs the past two seasons, in addition to leading Team USA in the same stat during the summer of 2010. {Link}

2010 Topps USA Sean Gilmartin Autograph

The Atlanta Braves drafted Sean Gilmartin in the 1st round with the 28th overall selection.

Florida State pitcher Sean Gilmartin were named first-team All-Americans by Baseball America on Thursday. Gilmartin led the Seminoles with a 12-2 record and 2.09 earned run average. He struck out 130 batters in 120 1/3 innings and held opponents to a .209 batting average while leading FSU to the Super Regionals. {Link}
As of right now i’m going to hold onto these until they make it into the majors.
Thanks to card collector’s world for the contest!

I won an auction last week for a pair of Jerry Sands Game-Used Memorabilia. The cards aren’t him pictured in a Dodgers uniform but instead it’s the minor league affiliate, Chattanooga Lookouts.

Jerry Sands was a 25th round draft pick in 2008 by the Dodgers and made his MLB Debut on April 18, 2011. He doubled in his first major league at-bat against Tim Hudson. On June 9, the Dodgers optioned Sands to Triple A Albuquerque.

2011 Topps Pro Debut Jerry Sands #MM-JS

I think this product is awesome because collectors can receive players during their minor league stints before they make it to the majors. It makes it more exciting to collect players in their minor league uniforms instead of just the Dodgers uniform.

There is also a Dee Gordon game-used memorabilia from the same product that I’m trying to get my hands on.

I will be keeping one of the Sands for my personal collection and the other one is for trade. Looking for Dodgers in return.

>Not too happy with the United States Post Office today. It doesn’t help when the ebay seller sent my card in a plain white envelope. The envelope was damaged in one of the post office machines and damaged my card.

Here’s a scan of the Adrian Beltre, the damaged is above the patch.

#99/99

It’s my second different Adrian Beltre Patch from 2009 Topps Unique. {First Adrian Beltre Patch}

I received another package from a trade. It’s a 2010 Topps Peak Performance Dez Bryant and only had to give up Albert Pujols insert that was graded.

Bryant looks like Terrell Owens on this card.

Hopefully I can get a refund on the Adrian Beltre patch since that’s not what I paid for.

Came across a seller on ebay who had a couple of Dodger relics for sale. I asked about combined shipping and they gave me a great deal. So i won these three that I needed for my collection.

The Upper Deck Heroes is one of my favorite products. It’s cheap and the designs are very simple, yet there are many different variations to collect.

I already have two autograph versions of the Chad Billingsley and I have the blue #/200 Andre Ethier.

2008 SPx also have different variations to collect. This is my third different Rafael Furcal from the set, but it’s my first patch. This one is #’d out of 50 and has two colors (Blue/White).
You can see the rest of my Dodgers collection by clicking here.
